Vote Gimmicks and the Report System

After having to remove at least eight saves from the front page, I'm half wondering if people just aren't noticing, or if people are just neglecting the seriousness of the rules placed squarely on the front page where it's supposed to be difficult to miss.

Moderators have lives like everyone else, and we don't have the hugest moderator team to keep eyes on every corner of the save index from front to back, not even on the front page at every waking hour. The rules for save publishing apply especially to the saves that reach the front page, since these saves are on display to everyone else.

I posted this to say more importantly, that the Reports system works perfectly now, and is a faster way than any number of moderators can be at keeping track of rule breaking. For saves that ask for votes, you don't need an elaborate detail in the report, besides to say that the save asks for votes.

It would help tremendously if people would report these, since there are a ton of saves, and only a small number of people to keep track of them who have the ability to enforce the rules we've set. Basically the issue is that saves that ask for votes have an unfair advantage over ones that don't, and the amount of work required to do so is usually extremely small. It doesn't help that then people see these and take their example, and do it themselves.

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up, if your saves -do- get hidden or otherwise moved, it's totally not just you.

    This includes, for reference,

    * Saves that remind you of or point out votes.
    * Boxes or signs that keep a numerical counter of the current number of votes.
    * Saves that request you not to downvote, which in the process of reminding you about votes, is essentially like asking for a half-vote.
    * Further, includes saves that suggest commenting if you downvote.
    * Saves that "thank" for votes in any form or shape.
    * Arrow shaped objects indicating for a person to vote.
    * "Vote farming", which is producing a save which promises improvements for a set amount of votes.
    * Or lastly, saves that allow copying or any other activity in exchange for a vote.

The whole point is, having anything pertaining to votes inside of your saves is against the save publishing guidelines. I shouldn't have to make a list every time someone comes up with a popular way of trying to circumvent this.

Reports about any of these would be appreciated, please.
