You can't ban people for being retarded. That violates their human rights. Unfortunately.

This probably has nothing to do with this thread and I apologize if it doesn't, but when you hover your mouse over the categories of elements, I think it would be really usefull if you click them instead. That way people would have an easier time scrolling through the elements. And again, I apologize if this has nothing to do with this thread...

New users are not in the wrong - they have had no idea elements had already been suggested, or that this forum actually has rules about that.
But dickheads *cough cough, cctv, cough cough* that mercilessly and ruthlessly flame them for doing so are.

It's almost all of you who're responsible. If it was just cctv I'd ban him and be done with it. But he's cool enough that he gets off scot free. :c

But what if somebody makes a post about an element that has been suggested before, but puts more thought into it and actually does research on it than the previous posts? Like my post has Tungsten in it, but is actually pretty spot-on as to how tungsten would react in real life. (except that tungsten doesn't light up on contact with glass, which I added just for there to be a simple way to make a light). I hate it when people just automatically discredit any "new element" post just because the element in question has been suggested before.

I've only ever made one thread and this is what happened to me... got told to go read the rules and got given absolutely nothing constructive, they didn't even specify why I needed to read the rules -.- Kinda puts me off from using tpt; as a warning I'd like to suggest better handling of such events as I do believe new users may discontinue use of tpt simply because of inappropriate behaviour by certain individuals...

@airstrike52 (View Post) Your comment I believe is a direct violation of the rules and of what Catelite is talking about...
