How does the fp system actualy work? It's been changed recently and then changed again. My current understading is that a save gets fp if it earns votes quickly enough, and there is a 7 day cut-off.
btw: I know it's been toned down a bit but can saves (other than memes) be removed under the art ban anymore? I have a 1:2 ratio of saves been removed under either text, art or (I'll put this back up later but then I wont), so it would be helpful to know

Plotted art is simply art that exploits the use of CGI. They give users an unfair advantage because they are easy to do once you know how to do them:
CGI saves are visually different from normal art saves because they are absolutely perfect. Unless your hand drawn art is also absolutely perfect :P which has happened before.. some users have had what they claim is hand drawn art removed from the front page.

Yeah, I think he was the one who figured it out too.
As you've already said, art has to be also functional to be on the front page. This is mainly because TPT isn't an art program, it's a game of innovation and creativity. Whilst art saves obviously do take alot of time, they are merely a set of coloured pixels on the screen, and powder toy is designed to do more than just render things. -
It does make scense to have functional saves, I had to add an engine to my car so it would be "functional"
