Currently we're aware of an issue that's causing the version 43 beta to crash on some Windows-based computers. If you're experiencing issues launching the Powder Toy, please post in this thread with the following information:
    When it crashes
    Your operating system
Operating system architecture (32 or 64bit?)
Processor (To find out: Go to My computer, and go to properties, it should say what processor you have.)

Also, try this version: https://powdertoy.co.uk/Download/Test/powder-win32.zip and report back as to whether it works or not.

    Doesn't crash. Windows vista a 64bit, AMD phentom(tm)9550 quad-core processor 2.20 GHz. I think 32bit is crashing and 64 is living.

With the beta, all three don't work.

Get the processor name by right clicking my computer and clicking properties.
    With me it's,

    The Test Exe:
    sse-1 didn't work, and crashed.
sse-2 works fine, But I think it's a lot slower than the last version.
    sse-3 Unsupported CPU.
