DEVS and public pls help me get an idea to put the amazing game on Steam, would love some feed back on this topic as i think its an awsome idea to get Powder Toy in many steam accounts.

either charge a tiny fee for the game, or make it free; DEVS choice.

if you go add game then add non-steam game it will add it to your game library

if they charged a fee, they would havre to change the main website to charge as well. otherwise people will stop buying it knowing that it's free on the main site.

What i think im trying to say is that if the devs put the game on steam as a game for people to download, jward212 not for people to just download from the internet and then upload yourself. If the devs sent the game to steam, because of the amount of people that use steam it would be a sure fire way of increasing downloads.

thats what i think anyway. btw dose anyone liten to chillstep when they type, because i found that it helps, my gf dont think so :p

We were going to put it on Desura once (something similar to steam but more friendly to free indie games), and even had a contest to create the artwork that was needed for a page. Also Catelite wrote the description that you see on the main page today for it.
I don't know what happened though, I think Simon got busy and backed out and it never happened. unfortunate ): . Possibly we could put it on there ourselves too, idk.

Putting it on steam costs money though I think. I'm not sure how much but I really don't want to pay anything. If it was on any other platform it would be free of course.

I think it's an idea I'll consider in the future. It seems like a great tool to gain more audience in the future. I've been thinking storngly about it before this post too.

Considerably, the cost is 100USD for a game to be placed up for Greenlight. Unfortnately for me to do such a thing we would need for it to become Greenlit is the right number of votes. Whether I can pull enough in for votes is anyone's guess. Again something I'll look into for the future.

well at lease the money is for a good cause

'Child’s Play, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of children in over 70 hospitals worldwide.'

but 100$ I feel sorry for the piggy bank just mentioning it
