INST overlapping

I was just wondering how people are making compact electronics by making INST overlap each other. I want to know how to do this. For example, there is an intersection right, so then we spark the top it travels down to the bottom but does not branch off to the right or the left. So then if we spark it on the right it will go to the left and not the top and bottom.

INST is just smart like that. Whenever you make a cross out of it (which is what you described; a 4-way intersection), it becomes two separate wires, a horizontal and a vertical one. Note that this only happens with 4-way intersections, not to 3-way ones.
