This is a tutorial on how to get your stamps, that you may have lost, back. I only recently discovered this. First access your powdertoy folder. (Ex. C:\powdertoy.)
Withing your "Powdertoy" folder:
-Step 1: Make a Backup your stamps folder. (Would be found in: C:\powdertoy\stamps if powdertoy is on the root of your C drive.)
-Step 2: Open up "stamps.def," inside the "stamps" folder, in notepad or another txt editor. You can do this in windows by right clicking on the "stamp.def" file, moving down to "open with" and then selecting notepad.
-Step 3: You'll notice that there are many files that are named something like, "4d6666e900.stm" Each one of these is a stamp you have made. Take the title of your stamp you want to recover (4d6666e900.stm), with your "stamps.def" open in notepad, replacing the first set of ten characters with the ten characters of your selected .stm file's name. (The first ten characters inside the "stamps.def" folder will now be 4d6666e900." Tip: If you are looking for a specific stamp, you need to check "date modified" and match it with whenever your stamp was saved. This can be difficult and tedious, but the only way.
That's it! Your old stamp should appear as your first stamp when you press "K." If not, restart powdertoy, it will be there.
I hope this helps anyone who thought they lost all their stamps after reaching the dreaded 8th page.
Ahh very clever! But I lost most of mine at 2 pages, with a stamps.def error, turns out it had somehow reverted itself back to an older version from when I had only 1 page! D=
Yea i'm still lost. Stamps.def still has all the stamps but for some reason they wont load. I did what you said, turned out the stamp i wanted was the first name in stamps.def. Now do I gotta delete the stamps in .def to paste in the stamps i want back?
